Perseus Telecommunications

Problem: A data center and call center need to go-live in less than 60 days in Galway, Ireland. We need to hire 36 mid-senior level engineers. Hardware must be acquired, configured, on-boarding process & training programs established, relocations executed before start date, and ideally, under budget.

Solution: Extensive recruitment program implemented in all EU nations where relocation will be easier including country specific job boards, referral network program, and social media campaign. Vendor management project with temporary relocation of NYC staff to aid in configuration, office buildout, and new employee training program. Project was completed prior to go-live date and came in 23% under budget.

All Hands Volunteers

Problem: All Hands employees project coordinators, managers, and support staff for disaster relief efforts globally. The inherent nature of this work means they do not have advance notice of when and where disasters will occur, thereby, creating a challenging recruitment environment. Further constraints included the austere nature of the post-disaster areas and housing, the immediacy and relocation requirements, salary constraints, and physically demanding nature of the work.

Solution: An enterprise wide data consolidation project. Resumes and contact information were stored in a number of places, most of them not accessible by more than one person. Advised CEO & board of various software options for project management tracking and recruitment. Manage applicant tracking software implementation, data migration, and staff training further enabling the team to utilize the candidates they already have vs going to market for every new requirement. Finally, training staff on recruitment techniques to use at all times thereby making the recruitment team prepared as possible rather than exclusively reactive.
